Ribbon Bio GmbH, identified by VAT ATU73191707 and EORI ATEOS1000124494, address Brehmstrasse 14, 1110 Vienna, Austria (“Ribbon Bio”), a commercial DNA provider, understands that United States federally funded life sciences entities and funding agencies are relying on this attestation prior to purchasing gene synthesis products. Ribbon Bio self-attests to complying with the US Framework for Nucleic Acid Synthesis Screening issued by the Office of Science and Technology Policy (“OSTP”), as well as the Harmonized Screening Protocol of the International Gene Synthesis Consortium (“IGSC”).

Consequently, we confirm that we:

1. Screen purchase orders for synthetic nucleic acids to identify Sequences of Concern (“SOCs”) using a 50-nucleotide window;
2. Screen customers submitting purchase orders of synthetic nucleic acids with SOCs to verify legitimacy;
3. Report potentially illegitimate purchase orders of synthetic nucleic acids involving SOCs to competent authorities/bodies;
4. Retain records relating to purchase orders for synthetic nucleic acids as applicable; and
5. Take steps to ensure cybersecurity and information security.
